The Eddy Company is not a "broker" in the traditional sense. We work – in most cases – as the real estate department for the retailer or developer who do not have a full-time real estate function. Retailers and restaurants retain us to participate as a key member of their development team in strategic planning. And for selected developers, we serve as the point retail consultant in determining leasing strategies, lease negotiations, store mix, and overall creative and marketing strategies. In essence, The Eddy Company determines with our clients their needs and then structure our consulting relationship based on the assignment.

Our client work is common in one aspect: We are results-driven. We set realistic goals for each client assignment, and we pride our results-oriented track record where research and execution is key. We historically work for clients over a long period of time – where developing an intimate, strategic retail relationship is key to successful, long-term retail management.

The cornerstone of our consulting work is strategic planning. We help clients develop new directions and new strategies by challenging the "old" and integrating new ways to look at their properties and portfolio stores. We understand customer and demographic shifts and how these impact client strategies.

We help clients better understand retail markets for possible expansion or redevelopment. We help clients integrate their need for expansion with the realities of the marketplace, and we use our extensive market knowledge to better serve clients.

The Eddy Company performs a broad spectrum of market analyses and due diligence services – environmental scans of competition, market rental rates, sales volumes, demographic data and future trends, economic conditions, and overall market opportunity projections.

Our experience in performing these types of on-the-ground consulting assignments in major US markets enables us to provide clients with a strategic review combining hard data with an experienced and informed appraisal of expansion potential.



Marketing/Brand Awareness

As a member of your strategic planning team, we assist clients in developing marketing and branding programs that enhance and support your strategic objectives. The Eddy Company can provide local, regional, or national support from qualified retail marketing professionals in legal, branding, store design, publicity, and advertising and promotion.

Within the context of a client’s requirements that are clearly identified in the strategic planning stage, The Eddy Company provides expert occupancy cost analysis, lease negotiations and legal counsel in all leasing phases. We negotiate the business terms and conditions of the Letter of Intent and/or Lease Agreements – all with final approval from the client.
