Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
The Eddy Company wishes you all the best for 2006!

NorthPark....the Southwest's premier
center features timeless architecture, fine art
As
Christmas shoppers scramble through the corridors and fine
shops of NorthPark Center, they probably are taking less time
than they normally do to pause and enjoy the Andy Warhol (original)
painting of Ronald Reagan hanging overhead...or recognize
the Henry Moore sculpture as they zip from one end of NorthPark
to the other. These are busy times for shoppers and retailers
at NorthPark this holiday season. But make no mistake about
it - NorthPark shoppers love this place. They rave about its
timeless architecture, its incredible collection of fine 20th
century paintings and sculptures that adorn its public spaces,
and the array of world-class retailers that make NorthPark
one of the premier centers in America.
Here is what the Dallas Morning News said about NorthPark...."Only
in Dallas would something built in 1965 be considered historic.
But as one of the earliest shopping malls in the country,
NorthPark manages to feel both venerable and perpetually modern.
Dallas treats most real estate development as disposable --
trendy today, bulldozed tomorrow. But NorthPark just gets
better and better. It's cool and classy and soothing in scale.
And where else can you admire important art in the hallway...?"
(April 2003)
NorthPark is a sales demon, attracting 21 million shoppers
annually and features the #1 Neiman Marcus in the United States...the
#2 Dillards (in US) and the #1 Foley's in Dallas/Fort Worth.
And get this...NorthPark has been the area's number one tourist
attraction for the past seven years.
NorthPark is on a expansion juggernaut...a three-phased expansion
and remodel that includes a new Nordstroms, and trendy luxury
shops from around the world in Phase I, just completed November
1...Phase II opens in April 2006 and will include an integrated
AMC theater-dining complex and 72 new stores, and Phase III
opens the following October which will include the re-merchandising
of the Lord & Taylor building with new luxury stores.
According to Derek Wood, director of leasing, there are five
factors that make NorthPark so successful....#1 - Location
-- "...we're located on the second busiest highway in
Dallas, have wonderful egress and ingress...and we are smack
in the middle of the Beverly Hills and Newport Beach of Texas....#2
- Amazing demographics - "...within a five mile radius,
we have big homes, big incomes, and our shopper profiles just
get better and better every year."...#3 - Wonderfully
designed center -- "...From its inception, Ray Nasher,
the original developer, insisted on having fine art, fine
architecture, and beautiful surroundings for his customers.
This tradition continues to this day...it's a marvelous place
to shop and work!" #4 - Tenant mix -- "....we have
a world-class collection, headed by Neiman Marcus, that is
just going to get better. We have a strong luxury lineup from
fashion to contemporary that ranks among the best in the world.
And, finally, #5 - Entertainment -- "...we're big believers
in providing our customers with the best out-of-home experience
- in shopping, dining, and entertainment. This is a fun place!"
In summing up his five years as head of leasing with NorthPark,
Derek commented that "it is a great place to work because
it is family owned. Our owners, Nancy Nasher (Ray's daughter)
and son-in-law David Haemisegger, are here every day...they
care about NorthPark unlike an absentee owner would - and
they continue a culture that is nurturing for both employees
and shoppers. We are proud of our world-class environment,
and our shoppers really embrace that!"
Next time you're in Dallas, you can't miss this world-class
attraction!
